Dr Mark Ward is a highly qualified physician with extensive expertise in gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease, endoscopy, coeliac disease, bowel cancer screening, and liver disorders. He obtained his Medical degree from Monash University in 2004 and completed his physician and gastroenterology training at the Alfred Hospital and Eastern Health, where he gained invaluable experience in patient care and treatment. He furthered his expertise by pursuing an advanced clinical fellowship in London at St. Thomas’ Hospital, where he specialised in inflammatory bowel disease and endoscopy.

Dr Ward is a recognised author with multiple publications and has been invited to speak on various IBD topics at local and national meetings. He is currently serving on the Australian Inflammatory Bowel Disease Association Committee and plays a crucial role in driving advancements in the field of gastroenterology and IBD patient outcomes.

Dr Ward is committed to providing multi-disciplinary patient-centred care and values communication with patients and families. He understands the importance of incorporating dietary and psychological based therapies in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

In addition to his dedication to patient care, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with his new daughter, his two cats, and pursuing his passions for wind-surfing and traveling.
