Dr Lucy Bates

Dr Lucy Bates is a highly qualified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. After receiving her Medical Degree from The Australian University Medical School, she completed her O&G training in Canberra. Dr Bates has a keen interest in Urogynaecology and has received extensive subspecialty training at St George Hospital in Sydney, and Robina Hospital on the Gold Coast. Her special interests lie in the management of prolapse, overactive bladder, incontinence and vaginal mesh complications.

Dr Bates is a passionate researcher, and her interests are focused on obstetric trauma and the pathogenesis of the overactive bladder. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at several national and international conferences.

Dr Bates practices in both the public and private sector and is affiliated with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Private Hospital. She offers personalised and comprehensive care to her patients, and her warm and empathetic approach has won her the trust of many.
