Dr Leen Van Schoor

Dr Leen van Schoor is an experienced General Surgeon specialising in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Laparoscopic Surgery, Colorectal Surgery and Breast Cancer Surgery. He is affiliated with the preeminent medical associations such as BreastSurgANZ, Gastroenterological Society of Australia, and the Oncological and Colorectal Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Dr van Schoor obtained his medical and surgical training in South Africa and later worked in Canada and England before he moved to Australia in 2013. His motivation to relocate to Australia was driven by the excellence of the medical system and the high demand for quality physicians. Dr van Schoor completed his surgical residency in Victoria and later relocated to NSW.

Outside of his work, Dr van Schoor is a passionate trekker and cyclist. He finds it an excellent way of taking his mind away from work and rejuvenating himself. Dr van Schoor can easily relate with his patients and establish strong relationships. His gentle manner and calm demeanor provide a soothing atmosphere for his patients. Dr van Schoor believes that the key to obtaining optimal outcomes is to understand the unique needs of the patient and ensure that they receive personalised care.
