Dr David Lewis

Dr. David Lewis, a General Surgeon, hails from the Tamworth region in Australia. After completing his Science degree in Anatomy and Physiology at the University of Sydney, he obtained his Medical degree from the University of Queensland. He further trained in surgery at major hospitals in Brisbane and North Queensland, where he gained extensive experience in surgical procedures. For his exceptional performance and training, he was conferred with a Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2014.

Currently, Dr. Lewis practices at Tamara Private Hospital and Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, catering to the surgical needs of local patients. His keen interest lies in laparoscopic surgery, which involves keyhole surgery of the abdomen to treat conditions such as bowel cancers, gallbladders, and hernias. He is also actively involved with the local Breast Screen clinic, wherein he is responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating breast cancers. Dr. Lewis's expertise also extends to providing reconstructive surgical treatment for advanced skin cancers.
