Dr Joanne Rimmer is a highly skilled ENT surgeon with a focus on rhinology, anterior skull base surgery, and facial plastic surgery. She graduated from Cambridge University and Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals, London in 1999 and completed her specialized training in otolaryngology head and neck surgery in London, where she also received fellowship training in rhinology, skull base, and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Rimmer achieved her Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2010 and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016.
Dr. Rimmer is experienced in managing general adult and pediatric ENT conditions, but her special interest lies in treating sinonasal issues, including nasal obstruction, sinusitis, benign and malignant tumors, and hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. Her expertise includes both minimally invasive endoscopic sinus and skull base surgeries, as well as open techniques. She is also skilled in performing functional and cosmetic rhinoplasty surgeries.
Dr. Rimmer's interest in research has led to her publishing extensively in the scientific literature and authoring several book chapters in her areas of expertise. Dr. Rimmer is currently an investigator in various local, national, and international clinical trials in the field of ENT. Dr. Rimmer is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Monash University and serves as an international consultant for the Harley Street Nose Clinic.
