Dr Ian Skinner

Dr Skinner has a keen interest in knee replacement surgeries, both primary and revision, as well as knee arthroscopy. He is also experienced in managing trauma and sporting injuries. Furthermore, Dr Skinner provides medico-legal opinions for orthopaedic complaints.

Ian completed his undergraduate and postgraduate medical training in Western Australia, supplemented by studies in Boston and Edinburgh. Following his training in orthopaedic surgery, he dedicated six years to serving the orthopaedic needs of the community in Kalgoorlie, where he cared for a population of approximately 68,000. In 2004, Dr Skinner chose to return to Perth and continue his practice at The HipandKnee Centre, which offers state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to excellence in orthopaedic management for knee problems, sports injuries, and trauma cases.
