Dr Hanna Kuchel

Dr Hanna Kuchel is an experienced Dermatologist with a wealth of clinical expertise in her field. She is Australian-trained and is a respected member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Kuchel currently serves as the NSW Faculty Honorary Secretary.

Dr Kuchel obtained her medical degree with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1996. Prior to her specialization in dermatology, she conducted groundbreaking research and completed a PhD titled 'Mechanisms of Ultraviolet Radiation-Induced Immunosuppression in Humans' at the University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She has presented numerous innovative research papers at local and international conferences. Dr Kuchel's dermatology training was conducted at prestigious institutions in Sydney, including St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst, Westmead Hospital, and The Children's Hospital Westmead. She also gained valuable experience during a 12-month placement at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford in the United Kingdom.

Currently, Dr Kuchel divides her time between her own private practice in Randwick and The Skin Hospital in Darlinghurst, which is affiliated with the Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia. The Skin Hospital is recognized as a teaching facility for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, where Dr Kuchel plays an active role in training junior dermatologists. She holds the position of Head Supervisor of Training and serves on both the Research and Education committees. Dr Kuchel is also the principal investigator for various clinical trials, focused on evaluating the efficacy of new biological agents in the treatment of psoriasis.
