Dr Gary Avery

Dr Gary Avery is a qualified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in Sydney. He earned his Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2002, and prior to that, obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the same university in 1997. He furthered his training and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011.

Dr Avery specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, with a particular emphasis on skin cancer treatment, including melanoma, as well as hand and peripheral nerve surgery. He is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients and remains current with the latest advancements in plastic surgery.

Notably, Dr Avery has made substantial contributions to medical literature. He has co-authored several papers on a range of topics, including free tissue transfers, hemangioma causing deformational plagiocephaly, and the regulation of alternative medical practices. These research efforts have been featured in reputable medical journals such as the ANZ Journal of Surgery, J Craniofacial Surgery, and the New Zealand Medical Journal.
