Prof David Playford

Prof David Playford is a highly experienced Specialist Imaging Cardiologist based in Perth, Western Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, which he received in 1991, and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) since 1998. He also holds a PhD.

Prof Playford has a strong interest in clinical cardiology and has expertise in various areas, including general cardiology, cardiac risk assessment, breathlessness and pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, and valvular heart disease. He is skilled in performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms and Right Heart Catheters, and has a keen interest in utilizing big data research to predict cardiac outcomes.
