Mr David Mitchell

Mr David Mitchell is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with expertise in various surgeries related to the hip and knee. He obtained his medical degree (MBBS) from the University of Melbourne in 1989. In 1999, he completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedics. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) since 2011.

His contributions to the medical field have been recognized, and he was awarded the Meritorious Conduct Award by the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2015. Mr Mitchell has also co-authored several research publications, including "Endoscopic bursectomy for the treatment of septic prepatellar bursitis: a case series" in Acta Orthop Trauma Surg, 2012, and "Local Infiltration analgesia in hip & knee arthroplasty: an emerging technique" in Acta Orthopaedica Belgica, 2012.

In 2004, Mr Mitchell participated in a study evaluating alcoholic chlorhexidine as a preoperative wash, which was published in ANZ J Surg (Australia). He was also part of the team that introduced a clinical practice guideline using early CT in the diagnosis of scaphoid and other fractures, featured in the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine in 2009.

Mr Mitchell completed the Charnley Australian Fellowship in 1999. He is dedicated to providing expert orthopaedic care to his patients and staying informed about the latest advancements in his field.
