Dr Chin Yao Tan

Meet Dr. Chin Tan, a highly skilled endocrinologist specialising in general endocrinology and diabetes. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Melbourne before completing three years of specialist training in Endocrinology at Eastern and Monash Health in Melbourne. From there, he traveled overseas and spent an additional year in the Paediatric Endocrinology Department at Stanford University, USA doing clinical research. This was part of his Bachelor of Medical Science degree with Melbourne University.

Chin is passionate about clinical research of diabetes and is currently serving as one of the clinical research fellows at the School of Public Health, Monash University. Additionally, he is proud to be a teaching associate at Southern Clinical School, Monash University. His work has also led him to serve in both public and private healthcare settings at Monash and Peninsula Health, South East Endocrine Associates Berwick, and Peninsula Private Hospital.

Dr. Tan’s expertise extends to a variety of areas including diabetes, obesity and weight management, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders and hypercalcaemia, osteoporosis, men’s health, women’s health, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. He also accepts medical referrals for patients requiring inpatient management at Peninsula Private Hospital.
