Dr Gynther holds several qualifications, including a Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci), a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honors (MBBS (Hons)), a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD), and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
With a primary interest in psychotherapy, Dr Gynther provides a wide range of services to individuals aged 18 to 60 and those over 60. He has extensive experience working with diverse populations, including asylum seekers and refugees, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, doctors, psychiatrists or medical students, gender diverse individuals, gay and lesbian individuals, individuals with intellectual disabilities, military personnel and veterans, and individuals with physical disabilities.
Dr Gynther's expertise spans various mental health conditions, including addiction, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, conversion disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychosis, schizophrenia, and supportive psychotherapy.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr Gynther also provides opinion and report services, covered under MBS item 291. Additionally, he offers weekly psychotherapy sessions to support individuals in their mental health journeys.
