Dr Brian Todd

Dr Brian Todd is a highly skilled Ophthalmic Surgeon with extensive experience in the field. He has been practicing in Cairns since 2006, offering comprehensive ophthalmology services to patients in the region. He holds the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO) which he obtained in 2004.

Dr Todd completed his fellowship training in complex cataract and glaucoma surgery at the Birmingham Eye Surgery, UK in 2005-2006, gaining valuable experience in the field. As a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University, he imparts his knowledge to train the next generation of Ophthalmic Surgeons. He also serves as a Visiting Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Cairns Hospital, where he provides his expertise to patients on a regular basis.

Dr Todd is a general Ophthalmologist and offers a full range of services to his patients. He has a particular interest in cataract surgery and is adept at performing complex procedures using premium multifocal and monofocal lenses. Dr Todd has been holding regular clinics since 2011 at his well-equipped Atherton hospital facility on the Tablelands. He has a particular emphasis on the management of macular degeneration using intravitreal injection therapy (Eyelea/Lucentis), cataract assessment for surgery, postoperative follow-up, and glaucoma management.
