MBBS PhD FRACP
Dr Ben Dundon is an accomplished Interventional Cardiologist specialising in the management and diagnosis of coronary artery disease and chest pain syndromes. He completed advanced training in cardiology in 2005 and holds a PhD in advanced cardiac imaging through Cardiac MRI.
During his PhD, Dr Dundon received prestigious awards including the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand post-graduate research scholarship, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) / National Heart Foundation of Australia (NHF) post-graduate research scholarship, and grant support from the Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants, Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Institute of Medical and Veterinary Sciences.
Following his PhD, Dr Dundon completed a 2-year Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Monash Medical Centre and gained Fellowship training in Cardiac CT. He also received further research support through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians / Foundation for High Blood Pressure Research.
Throughout his career, Dr Dundon has contributed his medical expertise through peer-reviewed publications in several major international journals in MonashHeart and Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre, with a focus on translational research studies.
