Dr Ann Nee Lim

Dr Ann Nee Lim is a highly qualified and experienced Geriatrician based in Melbourne. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Medical Sciences from the International Medical University in Malaysia, achieved in 2002. Dr Lim obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2005. She then went on to complete a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Adult Medicine Division, in Australia in 2017.

With a focus on geriatric medicine, Dr Lim has developed a special interest in comprehensive geriatric assessment. This approach allows her to assess the overall health and well-being of older adults and develop tailored healthcare plans that address their individual needs. Dr Lim is also skilled in polypharmacy management, a crucial aspect of geriatric care that involves optimizing medication regimens to minimize side effects and drug interactions in older adults. In addition, she has expertise in managing the behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), a complex challenge commonly encountered in older adults with dementia.

Dr Lim is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin, and Simplified) as well as Malay, which enables her to provide culturally sensitive care to her diverse patient population. She believes in building strong patient-doctor relationships and strives to ensure that her patients and their families fully understand their medical conditions and treatment options.
