Dr Andre Conradie

Dr Andre Conradie is an experienced and respected cardiologist, specialising in interventional cardiology. With a primary practice in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, Dr Conradie has made significant contributions to the field of cardiology throughout his career.

Dr Conradie graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from a reputable medical school in South Africa. He further honed his skills by completing his FCP (SA) in Free State, Bloemfontein, Republic of South Africa. After this, he underwent two years of intensive cardiology training at the University Hospital, University of the Free State.

Following his training, Dr Conradie spent five years as a specialist physician and cardiologist at the Union Private Hospital in Alberton, South Africa. His exceptional expertise and dedication to patient care earned him recognition within the medical community and the admiration of his patients.

In 2004, Dr Conradie made the decision to immigrate to Bundaberg, Australia, where he set up his practice, GenesisCare. His reputation rapidly grew, and he became one of the leading cardiologists in the region. Dr Conradie has held visiting appointments at prestigious institutions such as the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, further enhancing his skills and knowledge.

Dr Conradie's extensive workload includes serving as the Director of the Coronary Care Unit at Friendly Society Private Hospital in Bundaberg. Additionally, he is actively involved in medical resident and medical student training in cardiology at Bundaberg Base Hospital and Friendly Society Private Hospital, providing invaluable mentorship to the next generation of physicians.

Dr Conradie's special interests within cardiology are vast and reflect his commitment to comprehensive patient care. These include coronary intervention, angioplasty and stenting, non-invasive cardiac imaging, heart failure management, invasive cardiac imaging (TOE), adult congenital heart disease, as well as general cardiology.
