Dr Tavasoli's primary interests lie in the field of psychiatry, specifically in the treatment of conditions such as Treatment Resistant Depression and Schizophrenia. He has a special focus on General Psychiatry, A.D.D/A.D.H.D, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Mood Disorder, CBT/Group & Individual Therapy Referrals, Depression, Department of Veterans Affairs, Drug and Alcohol Issues, Hospital Admissions, Legal Reports, Management of adolescent patients, O.C.D, Panic attacks, Personality disorders, Phobias (social phobia), Post-natal depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Psychosis, Relationship/marital issues, Schizophrenia, Suicidal/self-harm, and Workers compensation insurance. Dr Tavasoli is certified in the treatment of Treatment Resistant Depression.

Dr Tavasoli primarily works with patients in the age group of 18-60, including asylum seekers, refugees, and non-English speaking individuals. His expertise spans a range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, Anxiety disorders, Bipolar disorder, Cognitive behavioural therapy, Depression, Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), Obsessive-compulsive disorders, Personality disorders, Post-traumatic stress disorder, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).
