Dr Amanda Ying Wang

Dr Wang is a highly experienced Consultant Nephrologist and General Physician with specialized expertise and interests in various areas of kidney diseases such as acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, glomerular disease, and dialysis therapy. Dr Wang serves as a nephrologist at various hospitals including Northern Beaches Hospital, Concord Repatriation General Hospital, and Ryde Hospital. In addition to her hospital appointments, she also serves as a private practitioner at Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Wang’s passion for research has earned her a National Heart Foundation post-doctoral research fellowship and a senior research fellow at the George Institute for Global Health that is affiliated with the University of New South Wales. She has also participated in various international randomized controlled trials and contributed to the publication of numerous peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Wang's research area focuses specifically on acute kidney injury and dialysis therapy, and her continued dedication has earned her the prestigious ‘RACP Jacquot Research Establishment Fellowship’. As a Clinical Senior Lecturer, she shares her knowledge and expertise with students at the University of Sydney, the University of New South Wales, and Macquarie University. Her contributions to the medical field have earned her the title of Visiting Professor at the Beijing Friendship Hospital that is affiliated with Capital Medical University, China.

Dr Wang is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and her sincerity, dedication, and expertise have won accolades from both patients and colleagues alike.
