Dr Alex Tiedgen

Dr. Tiedgen is an accomplished Orthopaedic surgeon with a primary focus on the upper limb. He attended the University of Sydney in 2012 and, thereafter, underwent extensive training at specialist centers in Sydney and New South Wales, working closely with some of the leading upper limb surgeons in the country. Dr. Tiedgen has a particular interest in Hand, Wrist, and Microsurgery. To develop his expertise further, he underwent coveted fellowships at St. Luke's Hospital and the Sydney Hand Hospital. Dr. Tiedgen has extensive knowledge in managing degenerative conditions and traumatic/sporting injuries of the upper limb, with in-depth expertise in arthroscopic, reconstructive, and joint replacement surgeries for the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. His specific recourses include carpal tunnel syndrome treatment, wrist arthroscopy, Dupuytren's disease treatment, hand, and wrist arthritis, rotator cuff repair, and shoulder joint replacement. Dr. Tiedgen cherishes the genuine kindness and sense of community in Central West NSW. This is where he started his family with the birth of his first son and fell in love with the place. Recognizing the demand for medical experts in the area, Dr. Tiedgen wants to deliver top-notch surgical care to the region. Outside of work, Dr. Tiedgen enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two boys.
