Dr Adrian Low

Dr Adrian Low, an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee injuries, arthritic conditions, and overuse, practices at Wahroonga, 2076 in Sydney. Affiliated with Norwest Private Hospital, Dr Low is dedicated to providing the best possible care to his patients.

Having obtained his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 1997, Dr Low further pursued his education and earned a PhD in surgery from the University of New South Wales. His doctoral research focused on studying the differential role of growth factors in bone healing. As a result, Dr Low was awarded the Foundation and John Loewenthal scholarships by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in recognition of his research.

Dr Low's specialization in arthroscopy, arthroscopic reconstructions, and joint replacement surgery has allowed him to effectively treat numerous patients using non-operative treatment options. He prioritizes minimally invasive techniques to ensure optimal outcomes for his patients. Staying up to date with advancements in technology and implants, Dr Low ensures that his patients receive the highest standard of care.

With numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and a book chapter under his name, Dr Low actively contributes to the field of orthopaedic surgery. Serving as a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Arthroscopy and the Bone & Joint Journal, he also holds positions on their editorial boards. Dr Low's passion for research and teaching is evident through his completion of advanced fellowships at Oxford and Cambridge University Hospitals.

Currently a Senior lecturer in orthopaedic surgery at Sydney University and a Conjoint associate lecturer at New South Wales University, Dr Low's breadth of experience and expertise has established him as an exceptional orthopaedic surgeon and esteemed academic in the field.
