Dr Young Kim

Dr. Young Jin Kim is a highly acclaimed dermatologist based in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. With a Bachelor of Medical Science degree from the University of Sydney and a medical degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales, Dr. Kim has a solid foundation in medical education.

Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Kim completed a Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney, focusing on clinical trials involving vitamin D (calcitriol) for dermatological applications. His dedication to furthering his skills and expertise led him to complete his internship and residency at Concord Hospital in Sydney, followed by a stint as a General Practice registrar in Grafton.

Dr. Kim gained valuable experience working in various rural hospitals, including Emerald, Bundaberg, Winton, and Cooktown. These experiences allowed him to observe and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, further enhancing his proficiency in the field.

His love for dermatology ultimately led Dr. Kim to undertake his dermatology training in Queensland, where he worked at esteemed institutions such as Greenslopes Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Additionally, his knowledge and experience have been sought after by international journals, as he has been invited to review articles for publication.

Currently, Dr. Kim plays an active role in teaching and mentoring future dermatologists as he imparts his knowledge and skills to registrars at QIDerm at Greenslopes Private Hospital. His focus during these teaching sessions is primarily on surgical dermatology, further cementing his expertise in this specialised area.
