Mr Yee Chan

Meet Mr Yee Chan, an accomplished Melbourne-based urologist with a passion for providing holistic patient care. With a focus on robotic surgery, urooncology, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and stone disease, Mr Chan is considered one of Melbourne's pioneers in minimally invasive keyhole surgeries. He has been performing these surgeries since the early days of his career as one of the first urologists in Melbourne, and he continues to do so using the robot since 2005.

Mr Chan has always believed in the importance of a holistic approach to patient care, and he has worked tirelessly to establish minimally invasive keyhole surgery in urology at the Austin Health and Epworth Freemasons. His exceptional career is highlighted by his major role in performing the first laparoscopic donor nephrectomy for the live kidney donor programme of the Austin Health in 2007. His vast experience in minimally invasive surgery has earned him the status of a proctor for younger urologists who are learning robotic surgery. He also plays an active role in teaching and mentoring urology registrars and overseas visiting fellows in laparoscopic surgery at the Austin Health.
