Dr Vivien Tse

Dr Vivien Tse is a skilled Radiation Oncologist based in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. With a primary practice in Toowoomba, Dr Tse brings extensive expertise and experience in the field of radiation oncology to her patients.

Dr Tse completed her undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) at Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry (University of London) in the United Kingdom in 2004. Following her medical degree, she pursued her general medical training and internship, becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians in the UK in 2007.

Driven by her passion for oncology, Dr Tse completed five years of clinical oncology training in the UK, ultimately earning the distinguished Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2012. Additionally, she acquired a Master of Science in Oncology through the Institute of Cancer Research in London in 2013.

Demonstrating her commitment to progressing her skills and knowledge in gynaecological cancer treatment, Dr Tse undertook a two-year clinical fellowship in gynaecological cancer brachytherapy at Cambridge University Hospital. During this time, she also engaged in various research projects and further expanded her expertise in brachytherapy by spending six months with Professor Hoskin at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, UK.

In 2015, Dr Tse became a consultant at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, UK, where she excelled in medical student teaching and provided mentorship to oncology trainees. She actively participates in professional organizations such as the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the brachytherapy community (GEC-ESTRO), showcasing her dedication to staying at the forefront of advancements in her field. Dr Tse has presented at numerous UK, European, and international meetings, sharing her expertise and contributing to the development of oncology practice.

With a patient-centred and holistic approach, Dr Tse is passionate about enhancing the overall experience of patients undergoing cancer treatment. Since June 2018, she has been an esteemed consultant at Icon Cancer Centre Toowoomba. Her exceptional skills and commitment have been recognized, and she was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2019.

Dr Tse boasts a vast scope of practice, specialising in brain and spinal (CNS) cancer, gynaecological cancer, genitourinary cancer (including prostate cancer and bladder cancer), lung cancer, and haematological malignancies.
