Dr. Vipul Aggarwal is an extensively trained gastroenterologist specialising in advanced endoscopy. He has received training from prestigious institutions worldwide, including Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, St. George Hospital, and Royal North Shore Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Aggarwal completed a Fellowship in Advanced Interventional Endoscopy at a renowned hospital in North Carolina, USA. In recognition of his impressive training, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2010. He is also a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia and the American Society of Gastroenterological Endoscopy.
Since moving to Canberra in 2013, Dr. Aggarwal has worked diligently to establish and expand interventional endoscopy services in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) region. He currently practices alongside Professor Mark Bassett at Canberra Gastroenterology, where he utilises his expertise in interventional endoscopy. In 2016, he was appointed as the Director of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit at Canberra Hospital, further highlighting his prominent role as an interventional endoscopist.
Dr. Aggarwal's clinical interests encompass the prevention, early detection, and treatment of gastrointestinal and pancreato-biliary cancers. He offers consultations at Deakin and Bruce, and performs a range of endoscopic procedures at various locations, including Brindabella Endoscopy Center, Calvary Private Hospital, ACT Endoscopy, and National Capital Hospital. With his notable achievements in the field, Dr. Aggarwal has become a respected figure in his community, providing exceptional care to numerous patients throughout his career.
