Dr Toby Winton-Brown

Dr Toby Winton-Brown is a psychiatrist based in Hobart, Tasmania. With a passion for mental health problems in young people, he has gained extensive experience through his training in Sydney, Melbourne, and London.

Dr Winton-Brown obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of New South Wales in 2003. He later achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2017, further demonstrating his commitment to the field.

With a special interest in patients with medical and neurological problems, Dr Winton-Brown currently works in consultation-liaison and neuropsychiatry at a prominent Melbourne teaching hospital. He has also contributed his expertise at headspace, where he focused on supporting individuals dealing with psychosis, mood and personality problems, and trauma.

To provide comprehensive care, Dr Winton-Brown has trained in various psychotherapies including Mentalisation-based therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. He combines these therapeutic modalities with pharmacotherapy to assist patients in their journey to recovery.
