Dr Thaminda Liyanage

Dr Thaminda Liyanage is a nephrologist (kidney specialist) based in Perth. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2003. Following this, he completed his AMC Certificate from the Australian Medical Council in 2008. Dr Liyanage then pursued advanced training and received Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013, specialising in adult medicine division.

With over a decade of experience in the medical field, Dr Liyanage has developed expertise in various aspects of nephrology. His special interests include proteinuria/haematuria, glomerulonephritis, acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its complications, dialysis, renal transplant, resistant hypertension, electrolyte disturbances, and metabolic bone disease.
