Dr S.T. Terence Ting

Dr Ting is a highly qualified and experienced specialist in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with a demonstrated commitment to providing the best possible care to his patients. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, Dr Ting relocated to Australia in 2008 to begin his Physician Training at the Canberra Hospital and Health Services. He went on to complete his Specialist Respiratory and Sleep Medicine Training at Liverpool and Westmead Hospitals in Sydney, as well as in Canberra.

Dr Ting brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as a Senior Staff Specialist (Respiratory, Sleep and General Medicine) at Calvary Public Hospital in Bruce ACT. He is particularly interested in pleural diseases and has obtained a Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) accredited by the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine. As a result, Dr Ting is able to provide patients with highly specialised bronchoscopic and pleural procedural services.

In addition to his work in respiratory medicine, Dr Ting has a strong interest in sleep disorders. He provides consulting and diagnostic services for a broad range of sleep disorders, with a special focus on insomnia, parasomnia, narcolepsy, and circadian rhythm disorders. Dr Ting is also experienced in treating common sleep disordered breathing and chronic respiratory failure/ hypo-ventilation syndromes.

Dr Ting has admitting and visiting rights at most private hospitals in the ACT, ensuring that his patients can access the best possible care regardless of where they are receiving treatment.
