Mr Simon Matthews

Mr Simon Matthews is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Wagga Wagga, 2650. He specialises in various surgeries related to the hip, knee, and trauma-fractures. With extensive qualifications, Mr Matthews is a well-respected surgeon in his field.

Educated at St Bartholomew's, University of London, Mr Matthews obtained his MBBS degree in 1999. In 2002, he became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MRCS(Eng)). Three years later, he achieved a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS(Tr&Orth)).

In addition, Mr Matthews specialises in knee replacement surgeries, both partial and total, as well as primary, complex, and revision procedures. He is experienced in performing soft tissue knee surgeries such as ACL reconstruction, meniscal repair, and cartilage injuries. Furthermore, Mr Matthews is proficient in knee realignment (osteotomy) surgeries and the management of patellofemoral instability/malalignment.

Additionally, Mr Matthews has expertise in fracture/trauma surgeries for both children and adults, covering upper and lower limb injuries. He also has experience in the management of malunion, nonunion, and infection.
