Dr Season Yeung

Dr. Season Yeung is a skilled ophthalmologist specialising in the field of cataract, cornea, and external eye diseases. He currently practices at Inner West Eye Surgeons in Burwood, as well as Marsden Eye Specialists in Castle Hill and Parramatta, all located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

With his comprehensive knowledge and expertise, Dr. Yeung provides a range of specialised services, including complex cataract surgery, various corneal transplantations (such as DSAEK, DMEK, DALK), sutureless pterygium surgery, corneal collagen cross-linking, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), intraocular injections for neovascular macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion.

Dr. Yeung earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia, where he also obtained a Master's degree in corneal immunology. Following his undergraduate studies, he underwent ophthalmology training in New Zealand under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO). He then pursued a fellowship in cornea, external diseases, anterior segment, and refractive surgery at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute in Canada. During this fellowship, he had the privilege of collaborating with internationally renowned ophthalmologists in North America.

In addition to his dedication to patient care, Dr. Yeung is actively involved in clinical research and teaching. He currently serves as an examiner in Ophthalmic Science and Ophthalmic Basic Clinical Competencies and Knowledge (OBCK) for RANZCO. Furthermore, he shares his expertise by teaching cataract and corneal surgery to aspiring eye surgeons at Sydney Eye Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, and Westmead Hospital.

Dr. Yeung holds the esteemed qualifications of a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO), a Master of Medical Science from the University of Western Australia, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the same institution. He is proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

His dedication to excellence has been recognized through various academic awards, such as the Lifelong Education for the Ophthalmologist (LEO) Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Furthermore, Dr. Yeung has contributed to the scientific community through his publications in reputable journals, focusing on topics such as patient comfort and visual outcomes of miniscleral contact lenses, ocular surface reconstruction with human amniotic membrane-symblepharon ring complex, and evaluation of techniques in corneal graft preparations.
