Dr Scott Pearce

Dr Pearce is an experienced, caring and approachable Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who obtained his medical degree from Monash University in 1993. He started his medical career by working at the Alfred Hospital for two years before undergoing specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Monash Medical Centre in 1996. Dr Pearce became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in February 2002 after completing his post-graduate studies.

He was one of the few gynaecologists in Australia to complete a two-year formal laparoscopic surgery fellowship, acquiring the necessary skills to perform laparoscopic surgery. He further enhanced his surgical skills by participating in the inaugural Advanced Gynaecological Surgical Fellowship at Monash Medical Centre. This two-year full-time postgraduate course is one of the most highly regarded gynaecological surgical fellowships in Australia, covering the full spectrum of laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, urogynaecological (prolapse and incontinence) and benign open gynaecological surgery.

Dr Pearce started his private specialist practice in 2003 and underwent fertility and IVF training at the Royal Women's Hospital, Melbourne, in partnership with Melbourne IVF. He is highly accomplished, having published medical research and co-authored a chapter in a hysteroscopic surgery textbook. Dr Pearce has won the AGES travelling fellowship award in 2003 to further his laparoscopic surgical training in Berlin, Germany, and Caen, France. He has been a member of the organising committee in various Australian and international conferences, presented conference papers, and participated in live surgery.
