Dr Sarah Beaney

Dr Beaney holds several qualifications, including a Bachelor of Medicine (BM), Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych), Master of Arts in Education (MA(Ed)), and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).

With a primary practice located in the suburb of Townsville, Queensland, Dr Beaney offers telehealth services to ensure accessibility for her patients. She has a special interest in General Adult Psychiatry, Mood Disorders, and Older Persons.

Dr Beaney has extensive experience working with various patient groups, including doctors, psychiatrists, medical students, military and veterans, and individuals with physical disabilities. Her expertise lies in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, dementia-related disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

In addition to providing comprehensive psychiatric care, Dr Beaney offers a range of services, including civil medicolegal assessments, insurance opinions and reports, opinion and report writing (MBS item 291), shared care, and Workcover provider services.
