A/Prof Chunilal holds a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in haematology, as well as a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Auckland University and the University of Auckland, respectively.
With over three decades of clinical experience, A/Prof Chunilal has developed expertise in the diagnosis and management of various blood disorders. He has a particular interest and extensive knowledge in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, particularly during pregnancy.
