Dr Robert Winn

Robert is a seasoned Colorectal Surgeon who feels that compassionate patient care is the backbone of his practice. His philosophy of care statement reads “World class surgical care, every patient, every time,” and he takes it to heart. Robert's special training in Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery, as well as his position as supervisor of Advanced Surgical Training at Wollongong Hospital, makes him a respected figure in his field. He obtained his Colorectal Fellowship at the Western Hospital in Edinburgh in 2007, and went on to complete his Advanced Surgical Training in 2004 through John Hunter Hospital after graduating from University of Sydney in 1996. Robert offers a variety of services including Laparoscopic and open colorectal surgery, Colonoscopy and gastroscopy, Large polyp endoscopic removal, Surgery for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, Ileal J-pouch surgery, Anal problems such as Haemorrhoids, Fissures, Fistulas, Sepsis, and Inflammatory bowel disease, Entero-cutaneous fistula surgery, Hernia repairs (open and laparoscopic), and Laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Robert approaches each patient with the same level of care and expertise, no matter the diagnosis. He knows that surgical procedures can be daunting, and takes the time to address all of his patient's concerns before, during, and after their surgery. He aims to provide his patients with the highest quality of care and follow-up to improve their health and get them back to living their lives as comfortably as possible.
