Dr Robert Capstick

Meet Rob Capstick, a specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has been serving the Bayside area since March 2023. Rob is originally from the Hunter Valley in rural NSW but relocated to Victoria for his medical education. He graduated with honours from Monash University in 2012, following which he spent an additional year in Oxford University in the UK for his research in surgery.

Rob's training in Melbourne covered all areas of plastic surgery, including skin cancer management, hand surgery, microsurgery, burn management, and breast reconstruction. His excellence in surgical anatomy earned him multiple awards from the University of Melbourne, including the highest grade for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons clinical examination.

Rob currently holds public appointments at Monash Health, Western Health, and Northern Health, and visits Geelong and Warrnambool monthly. When he's not busy with his practice, Rob loves to travel, ski, and scuba dive. He also enjoys gardening and exploring new food and wine experiences.
