Dr Georgios Iatropoulos

Dr Georgios Iatropoulos is a highly skilled and experienced medical oncologist specialising in the management of common cancers, particularly focusing on gastro-oesophageal, liver, pancreatic, bile duct, colon, rectal, breast, lung, and prostate cancers. Originally trained in the United Kingdom, he relocated to Melbourne in 2016 and has been serving at Waverley Private Hospital since then. Dr Iatropoulos completed his oncology training in some of the largest hospitals in the UK before undertaking a two-year post-specialty fellowship at Austin Health/Olivia Newton John Cancer Centre in Australia, with a specific emphasis on gastrointestinal and breast cancers.

Dr Iatropoulos is widely respected in the field of cancer research and has been the recipient of numerous scholarships from Australian and European academic institutes for his groundbreaking work in cancer research.
