Dr. Manoj Obeyesekere is a well-respected cardiologist, specialising in cardiac electrophysiology. He obtained his MBBS degree from Monash University in Australia in 2000. Following his graduation, Dr. Obeyesekere completed his cardiology training in Melbourne in 2008, and subsequently pursued a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology. He dedicated three years to training in this field, working in both Melbourne and Canada from 2009-2011.
Dr. Obeyesekere is a proud fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society, having successfully completed his fellowship in 2014. In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Monash University awarded him a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016 for his ground-breaking doctoral thesis titled "The assessment of arrhythmic risk and arrhythmic substrate in patients with a manifest or concealed accessory pathway". His research has been published in esteemed international scientific journals such as Circulation, Circulation Electrophysiology, Heart Rhythm, Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Europace, and International Journal of Cardiology.
Dr. Obeyesekere's dedication to medical progress is underscored by his role as a board member of the Canadian Journal of Cardiology. He is widely recognized as a leading cardiologist in his community, and his expertise has significantly enhanced the lives of numerous patients suffering from cardiac conditions.
