Dr Leigh Cummins

Dr. Leigh Cummins is a highly qualified Cardiologist specialising in Cardiac Imaging and Clinical Cardiology. He graduated with honors from the University of New South Wales in 2011 and completed his advanced training in Physician/Cardiology at reputable hospitals including Prince of Wales, Sutherland, St George, and Port Macquarie Base Hospitals.

With a keen interest in Cardiac Imaging, Dr. Cummins has expertise in CT Coronary Angiography and Echocardiography. He also specialises in various areas of Clinical Cardiology, particularly focusing on Coronary and Valvular Heart Disease, Heart Failure, and Rhythm Disturbances.

Having worked as a Specialist Cardiologist in Port Macquarie, where he completed his Internship/Residency, Dr. Cummins returned to the area in early 2020. He is deeply committed to providing individualized and comprehensive specialist Cardiology care to patients in his local community. As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Level A Registered CTCA Specialist, he ensures that his patients receive the highest standard of care.

Dr. Cummins maintains a position as a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, allowing him to continue his passion for education and research. He is recognized by the Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in CTCA as a Level A Specialist.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Cummins holds an appointment at Port Macquarie Private Hospital, where he delivers exceptional Cardiology services. His dedication to ongoing research and teaching further contributes to his broadened knowledge and proficiency in his field.
