Prof Ian Harris is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in arthritis, arthroscopic surgery, and trauma/fractures. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree as well as a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Orthopaedics. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (FAOrthA), and has completed a Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) and a Ph.D.
Prof Harris currently serves as a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and holds the position of Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at Liverpool Hospital. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at St. George and Sutherland Hospitals.
With a strong focus on evidence-based medicine and clinical research, Prof Harris has dedicated his career to advancing the field of orthopaedics. His clinical interests include orthopaedic trauma, specifically fractures, as well as the management of arthritis and arthroscopic surgical techniques.
