Dr Hazlin Lockman

Dr Hazlin Lockman is a psychiatrist based in Woody Point, Brisbane. With over 20 years of experience in mental health, she has provided comprehensive care to patients in both Malaysia and Australia. Dr Lockman is fluent in Indonesian and Malay, in addition to English.

Dr Lockman obtained her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery degree from the prestigious University Malaya, Malaysia in 1992, before pursuing her Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2015.

Her primary focus is on evidence-based recovery and biological type treatment for severe adult mental illness diagnosis. Dr Lockman is well-versed in providing effective and professional care to patients with complex conditions.

In Australia, Dr Lockman has primarily worked in the public sector as a Community Psychiatrist. Her strong interpersonal skills have proven invaluable in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams within the community health service. Her approachable and empathetic nature helps foster a supportive and inclusive environment for patients.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Lockman has also made significant contributions to medical education. She served as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Queensland. This aligns with her previous role as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
