Dr Glenda Wood

Dr. Glenda Wood is an experienced dermatologist who has been practising since 1981. She currently holds the position of Senior Staff Specialist and Head of Department of Dermatology at The Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. In addition, she serves as a Senior Staff Specialist at The Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney and is a Consultant Dermatologist at Prince of Wales Private Hospital.

Dr. Wood's areas of interest encompass all aspects of general dermatology, with a particular focus on treating psoriasis and HS hidradenitis suppurativa, a condition characterized by recurrent boils. She is also actively involved in the development and implementation of laser technology in the treatment of vascular skin lesions, aiming to enhance patient outcomes.

Throughout her career, Dr. Wood has actively participated in international Dermatology Conferences and has contributed to the field through published journal articles. She previously held the prestigious position of President of The Australasian College of Dermatologists (ACD). In recognition of her expertise and contributions to the practice of Dermatology, she was awarded the Silver Medal of the ACD in 2012.

Apart from her clinical work, Dr. Wood is dedicated to teaching undergraduate medical students and training dermatology registrars, ensuring the next generation of dermatologists receive comprehensive training and education in the field.
