Dr Fiona Chan

Dr Fiona Chan is an accomplished Ophthalmologist based in Aspley, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. With over 20 years of experience, she is highly skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions, specialising in cataract cases. Dr Chan is fluent in both English and Chinese (Cantonese).

Dr Chan obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with first-class Honours from the University of Queensland in 1997. Following this, she underwent extensive training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where she completed her residency.

In 2003, Dr Chan commenced her Ophthalmology training as a registrar in Queensland. She distinguished herself during her training and was appointed Senior Registrar in 2007, during her final year of training.

Since late 2008, Dr Chan has been a respected Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Brisbane Eye Clinic. Her practice focuses on General Adult Ophthalmology, with a particular emphasis on the management of cataract cases. She also specialises in cataract and lens surgeries, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.

Dr Chan carries out surgical procedures at reputable hospitals, including Peninsula Private Hospital in Redcliffe, Vision Eye Institute in Auchenflower, and Eyetech Day Surgeries in Mt Gravatt.

As a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, Dr Chan remains dedicated to continued professional development.
