Dr Erosha Premaratne

Dr. Erosha Premaratne is a highly experienced endocrinologist based in Melbourne, Australia. After completing her basic physician training and endocrinology advanced training at Austin Health and Northern Health, Melbourne, she became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2006. Dr. Premaratne then conducted a study on mechanisms and measurements of diabetic kidney disease, earning her a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Melbourne in 2008.

Dr. Premaratne currently works as a general physician and endocrinologist at Austin Health and the Northern Health. She is involved in the Young Adult Diabetes Service (YADS) clinic, the Pancreatic Islet Cell Transplant Programme, and runs general endocrinology and obstetric medicine clinics. She provides an inpatient endocrinology service to the Warringal Private hospital, Heidelberg.

Dr. Premaratne is devoted to providing comprehensive endocrinology, diabetes, and weight control services to the local community. She works closely with local dietitians, diabetes educators, and bariatric surgical services. Dr. Premaratne has a particular interest in the management of diabetes, including insulin pump therapy, obstetric endocrinology, and general endocrinology.
