Dr Dino Benito

Dr Dino Benito is a highly qualified Specialist Physician based in Australia. With a background in general internal medicine and advanced training in Geriatric medicine, Stroke medicine and Peri-operative medicine, Dr Benito has an impressive array of experience spanning over a decade. Originally from the Philippines, Dr Benito obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of the Philippines in 1997 before going on to obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center College of Medicine in 2001. Dr Benito subsequently underwent internal medical residency training and was awarded the Diplomate in Internal Medicine by Philippine Specialty Board of Internal Medicine of the Philippine College of Physicians in February 2006. In 2006, Dr Benito migrated to Australia where he commenced internal medicine Physician Training at St George Hospital and its associated network hospitals in Sydney. Following this, he completed Advanced Speciality Training in Geriatric Medicine in Westmead, Wollongong and Blacktown Hospitals, culminating in the award of the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine in 2015 (FRACP). Dr Benito then completed a 12-month Fellowship in Perioperative Medicine, an experience which provided him with valuable knowledge and skills in complex perioperative care and improving safety and surgical outcomes. Currently, Dr Benito is involved as an adjudicator for the multinational ENCHANTED Trial (Enhanced Control of Hypertension and Thrombolysis Stroke Study) and holds Staff Specialist appointments in Geriatric Medicine at Blacktown and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospitals. He is a Visiting Consultant Physician / Geriatrician at The Hills Private and Norwest Private Hospitals in Sydney, Australia.
