Dr David Pook

Dr David Pook is a skilled Medical Oncologist with an accomplished career in clinical practice and research. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Tasmania, he completed his Medical Oncology training at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Austin, and then pursued a fascinating two-year stint at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research to investigate colon cancer. His research work was acknowledged with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne.

Currently, Dr Pook serves as a Medical Oncologist at Monash Health, specialising in Uro-Oncology. He leads a significant number of clinical trials in this area, working with a team of experts to bring innovative treatments and therapies to his patients. Additionally, he actively contributes to the Prostate Cancer Research Group at Monash University, conducting translational research and collaborating with other researchers to enhance our understanding of prostate cancer.

Dr Pook has a diverse practice covering both gastrointestinal and genitourinary cancers, and sees patients from Holmesglen Hospital and Monash Health. With his knowledge, experience, and compassionate approach, he is a valuable asset to the field of Oncology and has positively impacted the lives of many patients.
