Dr Hartman holds the qualifications of MBBCH, MRCPSYCH (UK), and FRANZCP. His special interests lie in working with teenagers, particularly those with severe mental health issues associated with suicidal behavior, deliberate self-harm, psychosis, or violence.
With a focus on providing quality care to different age groups, Dr Hartman has expertise in treating patients aged 1-17 and 16-24. He also has experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities as well as families.
Dr Hartman's areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex trauma, depression, mentalisation-based therapy, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and supportive psychotherapy.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Hartman offers bulk-billing services for selected patients. He also provides opinion and report services (MBS item 291), professional supervision, and weekly psychotherapy sessions.
