Dr Giles has a deep-rooted connection to his hometown of Camden, NSW, having studied at Hurlstone Agricultural High School and the University of Sydney. He then went on to receive his medical training at the School of Rural Health in Dubbo and Wagga Wagga Base Hospital before specialising in haematology. This included advanced training at some of Sydney's top hospitals, including St Vincent's Hospital, Wollongong Hospital, St George Hospital, and Concord Hospital.
Driven to expand his knowledge, Dr Giles completed his fellowship in Lymphoma and bone marrow transplantation medicine at University College Hospital in London. His passion for providing world-class haematology treatments in a regional setting has made him a much-respected figure within the medical community.
