Dr James Anthony Churchill

Dr. James A Churchill is a highly skilled Urologist, trained in New South Wales and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Graduating from the University of Melbourne MBBS/BMedSc program, he completed an Advanced Medical Sciences year at the Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne.

Currently, Dr. Churchill is a locum VMO at St George Hospital, Sydney, and offers a comprehensive range of services in general Urology. His expertise extends beyond the typical scope of urological medicine to include pelvic oncology and rare cancers such as retroperitoneal sarcoma and penile cancer. He is affiliated with several professional societies and remains active in Urologic, Surgical, and Oncologic networks.

Dr. Churchill believes in maintaining excellence in patient care and strives to advocate for clinician leadership and quality medical education. He was the Director of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and has served as the Chair of the RACS Trainees Association (2020), Director of the Australian Medical Association as Chair of the AMA Council of Doctors in Training (2013-14), and President of the Australian Medical Students' Association (2012). Furthermore, he successfully completed the Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) program, which focused on improving organizational governance.

In addition, Dr. Churchill is pursuing a Master of Clinical Education at the University of Edinburgh. He also teaches and examines undergraduate medical students at the University of New South Wales' St George & Sutherland Clinical School as a Conjoint Associate Lecturer.

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Churchill enjoys hiking, photography, and spending time with his family. He understands the importance of patient-centered medical care and ensures that each patient under his care is treated with empathy and professionalism.
