Dan Epa

Dr Dan Seneviratne Epa is a highly accomplished medical practitioner who completed his degree with First Class Honours in 2009, receiving a Distinction in Clinical Medicine. He gained his physician training via the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Melbourne’s Eastern, Northern, and Peninsula Health Networks, and he is now a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He has dual advanced training in Nephrology and General/Acute Care Medicine. Dr Epa has extensive clinical research experience dating back to his time working at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism in the UK. He is an active participant in teaching and has presented at several national and international conferences. One of his core values as a medical practitioner is to provide holistic care to his patients. He knows the importance of communicating effectively with patients and empowering them to become active partners in their healthcare journey. Aside from his medical work, Dr Epa enjoys spending quality time with his family. He currently lives in the South-Eastern suburbs with his wife and two children. He is a cricket enthusiast and enjoys taking road trips with his family during his free time. Dr Epa also speaks Sinhalese fluently. Dr Epa is committed to continuous improvement and is passionate about making contributions in fields such as environmentally sustainable dialysis and empowering patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. He is truly dedicated to his patients and provides personalised treatment for their medical conditions.
