Dr Bruce Lewis

Dr Bruce Lewis is a highly skilled paediatrician with a primary practice in Auchenflower, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Queensland in 1970. Dr Lewis furthered his education and expertise by completing a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Lewis's passion for paediatrics was ignited during his first year of residency at Blacktown District Hospital in Sydney. He then pursued specialised training in paediatrics at the Prince of Wales Children's Hospital in Randwick, now known as the Sydney Children's Hospital, focusing on newborn medicine.

Following the completion of his Fellowship, Dr Lewis moved to the National Women's Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, where he gained valuable experience in newborn medicine. He subsequently pursued a Fellowship in Neonatology at the Children's Hospital in Denver, USA. Dr Lewis returned to Auckland and took on the role of Staff Neonatologist at the National Women's Hospital.

In 1984, Dr Lewis relocated to Brisbane and joined the Mater Mothers' Hospital as a Staff Neonatologist. Throughout his distinguished career, he has developed special interests in neonatology, general paediatrics, newborns, pre-term births, and behavioural issues.
