Dr Brett Marshall

Dr. Brett is a highly experienced and respected Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 30 years of experience in his field. He completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at esteemed institutions like Monash Medical Centre, Queen Victoria Medical Centre, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute. He also achieved the Board of Examiners prize for the Membership in 1987, and later pursued advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery training in the UK.

Currently practicing on the Mornington Peninsula, Dr. Brett is affiliated with Peninsula Private Hospital, Beleura Private Hospital, and the Royal Women’s Hospital as a senior consultant gynaecologist. His areas of expertise include advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, endometriosis, pelvic pain, infertility, and surgery for pelvic floor reconstruction and incontinence. Due to his vast experience, he has performed over 5000 operative laparoscopies, laparascopic myomectomies, and hysterectomies.

Dr. Brett is also a recognized subspecialty expert in hysteroscopic surgery, providing treatment for fibroids, polyps, endometrial resection, and uterine abnormalities. Apart from conducting surgeries, he is actively involved in teaching his fellow gynaecologists, and even mentors and trains gynaecology trainees at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Moreover, Dr. Brett is an experienced colposcopist and widely practises CO2 laser treatment for abnormal pap smears. He presented his recent audit study of 1000 patients who underwent endometrial ablation via resection, demonstrating world-class success, safety, and results at the RANZCOG ASM in 2019.
